How to share USB Modem internet or Mobile Phone Internet with other computers using wireless internet Router

I'm sure many of us may have a Wireless Internet Router which may not have a USB slot / Function to use a USB Modem directly on the router. This may require us to purchase a new Wireless Internet Router which may be expensive or require us to spend more for another Wireless Router with a USB Modem function. 

So hold on! There is a way where we can use the same USB Modem and our conventional Wireless internet Router to share internet with other wireless devices like another Laptop, PS3, PSP, X-Box 360, Mobile Phone with WIFI function or any other WIFI device.

Here is how i do it...

First we need to install the USB modem on any computer either a Desktop or Laptop. After installing the software and after we connect this USB modem the first time to the internet, our computer will create a dial-up connection in Network Connection. So here is what you need to do.

To start, first disconnect from the internet and go to "Control Panel" like in the image below.

Now in "Control Panel" go to Network and Sharing Center" or "Network and internet" and click on "Change adapter settings" on Win 7 or "Manage Network Connections" on Win Vista like in the image below.

Here you will see all the dial-up, LAN and all wireless connections like in the image below.

Now to share your USB Modem internet connection with the router you have to Right Click on the USB Modem connection and click on "Properties" like in the image below.

Now in Properties of your USB Modem connection make sure that you have the correct modem selected and then click on "Sharing" Tab like in the image below.

Now in here tick to box which says "Allow other network users to connect through this computer's internet connection" and in the drop down below select "Local Area Connection" (LAN). The other two options can be ticked as per your choice as they are optional. Now click on the "OK" button and your computer is ready to share your internet connection with your wireless Internet Router. View the image below for assistance. 

Now plug one end of the Ethernet / LAN cable to your computer and the other to the Input of your Wireless Internet Router (for desktop and Laptop with WIFI).

Login to the Admin Page of your Wireless Internet Router and in the Internet Setup page make sure that you select the internet connection type as "Dynamic IP" or "DHCP" or "Dynamic" so that no username or password needs to be setup. Your USB Modem is now ready to share the internet with other wireless devices.

Now on your computer connect to the internet using the USB Modem software or the Dial-up directly. You router will now detect the internet connection as it is shared through the Ethernet / LAN port and Transmit the wireless internet signal to other WIFI enabled devices like other Laptops, PS3, PSP, X-Box 360, Mobile Phone with WIFI function etc.
